TINTANE
Tintane is a new city which is experiencing rapid growth. It is more and more a stopover for truck-drivers. The backcountry is a rich agrarian zone. In town one will find many small restaurants.

AIOUN EL ATROUSS
It is 610 km from Nouakchott; 167 km from Nioro of the Sahel (Mali); 280 km from Néma. Aioun is the chief town of the Relief EL Gharbi and a crossroad city towards others like Hodh, Kiffa, towards Mali via Nioro. It is a market city in full expansion and modernization. The site is very beautiful and the landscapes are imposing one such exemple is the Guelb Inimich, a small and solid Massif which overlooks the city. It is a much-visited place.

This city is beginning to receive tourists. The hotel installations are correct although embryonic. The city offers multiple landscapes, iether desert and mountainous. Moreover much of the houses are made partly of local cut stones. The city itself is rather well provided in products of all kinds.

Located 84 km from AIOUN you will be able to go to Tamchekett, a city partly covered in sand and picturesque. There you can visit the site of Aoudaghost, in the Rkiz Massif. Aoudaghost was a stopover for the Empire of Ghana. Occupied by Almoravides in 1054. The excavations highlighted much archaeological richness. The zone of Tamchekett is as a fact an archaeological mine.
Aioun-Koumbi Saleh is 235km, 3h30

TIMBEDRA is 170 km from Aioun.
It is a City, which is experiencing a fast development. Timbédra is a rural city dominated by the industry of breeding. The city is a Center for the trade of the herds of bovidae and “camélidés”. Timbédra opens the way towards Koumbi Saleh, the capital of the one of the oldest African empires, the Empire of Ghana. Koumbi Saleh is at 65 km of Timbédra. The excavations there highlighted the old necropolis, mosque and several buildings.

NEMA It is 280 from Aioun, 110 km from Timbedra, Nouakchott, 1100
Néma is the chief town of Hodh Echarghi. Offering an international airport, the city can develop a great tourist potential. The proximity to Oualata but also of Mali and more particularly of Tombouctou (at 500 km) will be helpful in this direction.

Currently, tourism develops more or less rapidly. Nema is especially a commercial city, an agricultural metropolis.
